Giveaway Day!

Today is Giveaway Day at Sew Mama Sew!  Today I've decided I didn't have time to make anything, so I am giving away fabric! Who doesn't love more fabric?

I went with a little Asian-themed fabric.  Each is about a fat quarter, except for the black, which is a full half yard.  Also, each of the fabrics has some gold in it, which makes the whole thing a little bit shiny! I really love the white flowers--the outlining is in gold and it is super beautiful.

Everything is pre-washed.  To win, just leave a comment telling me what you are working on in your crafty life.  I'll draw a number at random (using Random.org) on May 20th at 9pm CDT (approximately).

And the winner is...

#101! Trusty random.org brought it up and that turns out to be Diane! Congratulations Diane. And thanks everyone for playing! I appreciate all the lovely comments. I've got a lot of ideas about homemade Christmas presents! Now to get to work...

Giveaway Day!

Welcome to my blog for Giveaway Day! Sew Mama Sew organizes a giveaway day all over blogland, with many fabulous crafters participating. You can see others here. I'll be giving away this cute little bag.
Purple bag
Sorry for the light--when I use a flash it is super washed out. It's a deep purple on the outside, sort of a velour fabric, and a reddish fabric on the inside from Basic Grey's Urban Couture line.
It's got a snap closure and a pocket in the lining. Also included is a fat quarter of fabric!

To enter, just leave a comment telling me what Christmas or holiday gifts you are making this year. If you're not making anything, what would you like to make? Also, please make sure that I have a way to contact you--through your blog, email, Flickr, etc.

I'll use random.org to choose the winner on December 6th--St. Nicholas Day.

Good luck!

Giveaway Day!

Welcome to my blog for giveaway day. I'm excited to see what else people are giving away. Be sure to check out SewMamaSew's master list here. Today I'm giving away a small quilt--it's 43" x 53.5".

I did it for a class, and it was really fun. The technique involved sewing the whole top together and then cutting it into three pieces, which were then re-arranged. What's neat is that you get a quilt on point without having to cut a single triangle! Well, I guess if you count cutting the quilt into triangles, but I don't. Anyway, it doesn't really go with my decor, so I figured some other person might enjoy it. If you'd like to win this quilt, leave a comment about your favorite (or most interesting) quilting or sewing technique. I will pick a winner using a random number generator. The deadline is May 31st at midnight CDT.

Thanks for stopping by!
